About Us

In 2011 after a two day Porsche Driving School event that changed his life forever, Matt Muller set out on a course that ultimately lead to the formation of Aspen Autosports. In 2012, Matt met Bob and Jake who had been in the Porsche Track world for a collective 30 years at that point. Over the next few years as Bob, Jake and Matt talked cars, track and going fast the idea of Aspen began to form. January of 2016 the idea was solidified – Create a new Porsche focused, track oriented shop focused on the needs of the customer by offering a feature rich set or services to provide the customer with everything that they need to enjoy their on track experience better than any other shop can. Frustrated at the some of the traditional service we found at other locations, our commitment to the customer is to be transparent in pricing, to find the right solutions for your needs and build a community for the long term of ‘friends’. Our commitment to you is we will work with you to find ways for you to go faster on track. Period.

Meet The Team

Matthew Muller

Matt was taken with Porsche’s from the age of 5, when his father’s friend showed him his Ivory White 356 with a red interior and it changed his life from that point forward. After migrating from Australia to the US in 1999 Matt was able to finally realize a lifelong dream of owning a Porsche.  That car was a 2002 Boxster S and the journey had begun. It started with some autocross in the early years and after another 10 years focused on a career, Matt retired from the corporate world and started down the track life path.

In the next 18 months, Matt started driving on track in the Green run group, bought a second track car which was a real race car, started instructing, won his first race and set his first lap record. 5 years later, Matt owned two 997 GT3RS’s, two 996 GT3’s, two Boxster race car’s and a Cayenne GTS. Matt is a PCA National instructor and PCA Club Racer, with track records and wins at tracks from Sebring, Florida to Watkins Glen, NY.

Lester Cheng

Lester has been an avid auto enthusiast and Porsche fan since 1973…the year when his “car-guy” uncle took him for a canyon run in his 911 RSR. Although his profession has taken a different direction than cars, he spends much of his free time either reading about, thinking about or playing with cars. He has owned multiple models over the years…a ‘89 930, ‘73 RS clone, 996 TT, 997GT3RS, 991 GT3, Cayman PCA Club Race car among some of the notable ones. Lester saw a great opportunity to join forces with the Aspen team to build a one-of-a-kind Porsche specialty shop…one that caters to each customer as an individual, treats them as friends with the utmost respect, and guides them in their Porsche or other DE/Race car journey to make good decisions and investments in their hobby to get the most bang for the buck.

Lester has over 20 years on track, participating in DE as well as PCA Club Racing. He has been a national instructor for PCA as well as other Driving groups for many years and has held lap records in PCA racing at multiple tracks.

Bob Tonczos

Even as a child Bob always had a fascination with anything fast. Each hobby progressively got faster and more expensive. Skiing led to snowmobiles which led to cars and trucks. Eventually Autocross and DE would consume his free time and led to a career change to allow more time for DE.

After Graduating From Brookdale College’s GM ASEP program 1990 and then Indiana State each with a degree in Automotive technology. Bob returned to NJ to work as a tech in a variety of GM dealerships gaining professional experience before finally switching to Porsche in 1999.

After joining NNJR PCA in 1997 Bob has driven at both Autocross and DE events at dozens of tracks from VIR to Indianapolis to Mosport and most tracks in between. He worked as NNJR’s Tech Steward before becoming an Instructor in 2002.

Jake Priber

Jake Priber went to Lincoln Technical Institute studying Automotive Technology. Jake has been a parts/service manager specializing in Porsche cars for the last 14 years.
